Browns Backers of Pinellas
See you next season!
Attention photographers! Click here to send us your pics!

The Browns keep rolling along and collecting the
wins!!!  Although I missed last week, the first dude
recorded all the action at the end of the game for
me to watch at home! And my sister kept me caught up
with texts.  Technology is a good thing!
Are we ready for the Titans?  You betcha!!
This Sunday, October 2nd, game time at 1 pm.
in Cleveland
Join us at the LUBE for all the action
and antics with your fellow Browns fans!
October also starts our MVP charity drive.
We will have Wanda, from MVP, come to speak
to us at half-time about how important this program
is to 1000′s of Pinellas County women.
(She’s from the Cleveland area too!)
Just a $5 donation gets you entered in to the
prize drawing each week and also gets you into the
grand prize drawing at the end of the event.
Won’t you please consider a donation for this worthy
event?  This year we are teamed wp with
Budweiser (they donated cash and some extra
prizes) to support MVP.  For every $100 we raise,
one woman with no insurance can get a
possibly life saving mammogram.  So far, in 9 yrs.,
the club has raised over $23,000!!
So, be proud and consider a donation!
T-shirts are here!!
Sizes S-XL are $15
Sizes 2XL & 3XL are $17
Get yours before they are gone!
They make great gifts for our families
up North!  Don’t forget beer coozies for
$6…they come with club logo!!
Read the attachment for trivia questions!!
I always use info from 1st page for at least
2 or 3 questions!
Hope to see you all Sunday and

Well the Browns did it and did it in style!!  What a GREAT time we all had at the Lube last week as the Browns chalked up a win against the Colts!!  We had approx. 110 in attendance as we woofed and cheered our way to victory!

Let’s squish the Fish with another large crowd at the Lube this week!!

Be sure to pick yours up this week!!!! They make great gifts for all of your family up inOhio, too!!  Please be patient to get t-shirt right at start of game as Kristin and Michele are usually quite busy with check-in.

We have plenty to go around and they’ll get everybody taken care of as soon as they can!

MVP starts next week, Oct. 2nd!  Fabulous prizes to win with a donation for a worthy cause.  All pennies brought in before Nov. 6th will be added to MVP this year.  All pennies brought in after that will go to our second event in December.  THANKS!!!

Hello BBoP!!

If you were at the Lube last Sunday, you were in the middle of 198 rabid Browns fans trying to root our Brownies on to a victory!  Sadly, that did not happen, but it wasn’t because there was no enthusiasm in that room!

Game 2 is THIS Sunday, Sept. 18th at1 pm  CLEVELAND BROWNS @ INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Be at the LUBE to catch all of the action with the club!

Dues are still $15/single and $25/couple

Dues have NOT gone up in the last 8 years!

$1 at the door on game day secures a seat in the pound (if we are not full!) and gets you a free 50/50 raffle ticket.  Guests are only $3!!

Peggy Bacher was the winner of our early bird dues prize.

We have a small Browns store this year, also.  BBoP bottle coozies ($6) and BBoP wrist bands($1) are our 2 hottest sellers!!  We are still collecting pennies, but a charity for this year has not yet been decided.  Just bring pennies as always and we will post the charity in next newsletter.  It’s always for a good cause!

From your club officers to you! Kim, Dave, Adam, Kristin, Michele and Judy wish you a safe and prosperous New Year!

The Last game of the season is upon us! Even with a losing season, no raffles, no food drives and no birthdays to celebrate we were over 80 strong last week against the dreaded Ravens!

This week brings the Squeelers to Cleveland for the grand finale to the season.

Be at the Lube on Sunday, January 2, 2011 for the clash between our beloved Brownies and the (BOO, HISS) Pittsburgh Squeelers!

This will NOT be the game you want to miss this season! Let’s show up en force to cheer on our

Browns Bits – Week 17

I met a Browns fan from Iowa today, who works in Shanghai, China, who wants to start a club over there!
I said GO FOR IT!! We are everywhere!!

Year-End Banquet Gets a Date
The Banquet will be on Saturday, January 22nd at 7pm at the Lube. Judy and her piano man, Paul, will be playing for us after dinner. We will be having a buffet again, with the cost to be between $15 and $20 for members and $5 more for guests. Exact figures will be available next newsletter, along with reservations and payment opportunities.

See you Sunday!!!

- Kim

MERRY CHRISTMAS to one and all!! Your club officers and I hope everyone is enjoying a safe and happy holiday season!

Last Sunday was a tough cross to bear. Our beloved Brownies came up quite short against Cincy, BUT… these next two games, the Browns can put some salt in the hopes for the Dead Birds and the Squeelers. PLUS, a victory over each of them will be just that much sweeter!

Greg Jones, from Brandon, sent me this little newscap….

With two games to go in the season, we currently sit in the #12 draft position. The highest we can possibly draft #4 and the lowest is #17. Obviously, this information will change each week as the Browns and other teams win or lose. I will keep you posted each week.

Let’s hope it’s #17. GO BROWNS!!!

We can spoil it for our last two teams! The Browns are more than capable, they just have to get out there and prove it!!

With that being said….

This Sunday, December 26th at 1 pm

Come support the team and your club by celebrating a Browns victory with us at the Lube!! There are a lot of members who went home for the holidays, but there are many of us who didn’t, so come on down to the Lube!!

Click here for your weekly preview and trivia tidbits: Browns Bits – Week 16

The team store is closed for the season. T-shirts will be available at the banquet. The banquet is scheduled for Saturday, January 22nd and further details will be in the next newsletter.

Peace to all, and GO BROWNS!!!

- Kim

Here we are on week 15 with a record that does not truly show what our team is capable of. Last week we were 95 strong as we watched a heartbreaking loss to the Bills. Granted, our offense was horrible, but it was still awful to lose to a team that by all rights we should have beaten.

This Sunday, December 19th at 1 pm

Come to the Lube and cheer on your beloved Browns so our holiday will be brighter with a WIN!

See the link below for trivia questions!!
Browns Bits – Week 15

2011 Officer Nominations and Voting
Nominations for your 2011 BBoP officers are in! Without further ado…

  • President: Kim Touhey, Peyton Hillis
  • Vice President: Adam Drake, Rick Evans, John Roush, Dave Ward
  • Treasurer: Kristin Rippel
  • Secretary: Michele Evans

Since Peyton can not take enough time off from the Browns organization, he graciously conceded the position to me! LOL (Seriously, someone nominated him so I had to add his name to the list!) SOOOOOOOO…

The only position we will be electing is Vice President. You will vote for TWO (2)!

Forms will be handed out as you come to the club on Sunday. Only members may vote! Absentee votes will be counted if you respond in an e-mail to me at by 11 AM Sunday morning! (I will print them so that they are time-stamped for voting purposes.) We will be voting for TWO (2) Vice Presidents on Sunday!

Wildlife Rescue Check Presentation
Vernon Yates from the Wildlife Rescue and Rehab will be on hand this week to accept the check for the donation to his organization. He had a rescue last week at the last minute that prevented him from being there. Everyone should be proud of the wonderful total that our club raised for this charity! I will give the amount in the next newsletter as it is substantial and we want to keep it a surprise until the check presentation!

Final Week for the BBoP Store!
THIS WILL BE THE LAST WEEK FOR THE CLUB STORE TO BE OPEN!! T-shirts, coozies, lighters and other gift items are still available! The BBoP Store will be closed after that and only t-shirts will be available at the banquet!

Year-End Banquet Details Almost Finalized
The tentative date for the 2010-11 BBoP Year-End Banquet will be Saturday, January 22nd, 2011. Details will follow next week!

I know this is a busy and hectic time for everyone, but we SOOOO appreciate all those who make time for us and come to the club to support the Browns!

See you Sunday, and as always…

- Your BBoP Officers

Sorry about getting this out so late, but retail hours are murder this time of year! How great was it that Phil got the 14th game-winning field goal of his career last week??

AND, this week will be even better as we move to 6-7 with a win over the Bills.

This Sunday, December 12th at 1 pm

Be at the Lube as we take those Jills down! The Browns have taken the last 3 games, with the last 2 being in Buffalo. (Plus, my sister and son will be there rooting for the wrong team and it will be fun to make them cry!)

Read the 1st page of this link for some trivia questions!!
Browns Bits – Week 14

2011 BBoP Officer Nominations

The current full slate of officers are running again, but we would still like to see us formally nominated – AND/OR choose another candidate whom you think would do a good job for the club! Voting will take place on the 19th. Get your nomination form from Judy at the game tomorrow.

That’s it for now…

- Kim

After the crazy finish to last week’s game, I am ready for a good old fashioned throttling of the Dolphins! Who’s with me??!! Although Jake Delhomme is starting, so not sure if that’s good or bad. At least Seneca is healthy if needed!!

This Sunday, December 5th at 1 pm

Many of you are going to the game, so I hope you take some great pics and post them on our site at!

Angel Tree Gifts
Please bring in your wrapped gifts if you selected an angel from the tree last week. Remember you get an extra 50/50 ticket if you bring the gift this week. We will still be accepting gifts next week, but no extra 50/50 – so pick an angel and start wrapping!!

Silent Auction This Week
Our auction will be held this week and it has so many fantastic items that they are just too numerous to mention them all. MANY autographed items are available, so bid on the ones you’d like to have or give as gifts! CASH or CHECK only please! The auction this year benefits the Wildlife Rescue and Rehab in Seminole. who will speak to us at halftime about all that they do.

Quilt Raffle Wraps Up
This is the FINAL week for the giant hand-sewn Browns quilt donated by Harry and Cindy Provan! If you want a chance to win this amazing piece, be sure to pick up your tickets this week as we’ll be raffling it off during the game!

No trivia link this week, so I’ll try to make questions easy! Short letter this week… off to work for me! See you tomorrow and GO BROWNS!!!

- Kim

While everyone is enjoying the holiday, I hope you all stay safe and enjoy your blessings with friends and family!

Now for Browns business…

Last Sunday was an agonizing defeat after forcing 6 fumbles against Jacksonville. This week, FOR SURE, we will have all our ducks in a row…I just know it! We were still 80 strong at the Lube even though the game was televised.

This Sunday, November 28th at 1 pm

Come to the Lube to cheer on your beloved Brownies with the rest of the rabid fans!!
Here is the link for answers to some trivia questions!

Browns Quilt Raffle Continues
The king-size quilt (donated by the Provans) raffle is still going on. Tickets are $5 each AND you get an extra 50/50 raffle ticket with it!! Drawing will be on Dec. 5th during our silent auction. Proceeds will benefit the Wildlife Rescue and Rehab in Seminole!

Thanksgiving Food Drive is a Great Success
Our food drive was very successful this year!! We fed 5 families from the church with everything from turkey
to rolls to pies, and our extra foodstuffs helped feed at least 30 more families! The officers can not thank you enough for all that our members do!!

Holiday Toy Drive Begins
We are going to be starting our toy drive for needy children at the church this week. Please bring in an unwrapped toy, like board games, trucks, dolls, etc. This way we can help some families have a better Christmas!

Holiday Shopping at the BBoP Store
The Browns store is still open for business! We still have coozies with our club logo on them, lighters, pennants, bells, shirts and more! See Kristin, Michele or Aleah this week at the game!

Phil Dimenna’s winning sandwich, the Big Dawg, will be on the menu again this week! Bring your appetite because it is huge!!!

See you all Sunday and LET’S GO BROWNS!!!!!!!!

- Kim

That’s right, Browns fans. We’re going to CRUSH the Jacksonville Jaguars in their own stadium!! We almost won last week and we’re gonna do it for SURE this week!

Sunday, November 21 @ 1 pm

Cleveland Browns vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

We had 180 fans packed into the Lube last week, so be sure to get there EARLY this week to guarantee your seat! We’re expecting another packed house!

Your BBoP officers are doing their best to ensure everyone gets a seat in the DAWG POUND, but the only way to make sure is to get there and sit down!

Last Week for Thanksgiving Food Drive
This is the final week before Thanksgiving! We’re still collecting food donations, so please bring any of the following:

  • Mashed potatoes (instant)
  • Stuffing
  • Gravy
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Canned vegetables

Our baskets will help needy families from the Most Holy Name church in Gulfport. They work closely with St. Vincent DePaul to provide food for families that can not do so. Thank you all for your efforts to help those in need!

Browns Quilt Raffle Continues
Raffle tickets are on sale again this week for the giant sewn Browns quilt donated by Harry and Cindy Provan. Remember, any in-person ticket purchases also get a free 50/50 raffle ticket! This raffle is open to everyone, though – not just BBoP members. If you know of anyone outside the club who wants to purchase tickets, we’re happy to sell them! Tickets are $5 each.

Great Lakes Christmas Ale Raffle
We have another great raffle going on this week! We’ll be selling raffle tickets for 6-packs of Great Lakes Christmas Ale. This is a true Cleveland holiday favorite that routinely sells out each year and is NOT available in Florida! Tickets are priced just like our 50/50 raffle: $1 each or 6 for $5. This beer is DELICIOUS and well worth it!!

Pennies! Pennies! Pennies!
Our penny collection continues! This year we’re collecting for Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation. They are very active in local issues involving wild animals’ treatment and safe return into the wild, and also ensuring animals’ habitats are maintained. Please give all you can!
